Chermoula Spice Mix

Although considered a North African spice blend, Chermoula is a delicious marinade for chicken or turkey. It adds a smokey, slightly spicy kick to grilled chicken and pairs deliciously with cool, creamy yogurt and crunchy vegetables.


You'll find many North African, Lebanese and Turkish flavors in Greek cuisine (not to mention culture, architecture, and traditions) due to the constant movement of people and empires across the historical lands of Greece, Italy, France and the rest of the Mediterranean.


Chermoula Spice Mix Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of Cumin, ground

  • 1 tablespoons of Coriander, ground

  • 1 tablespoon of Dried Parsley

  • 1 ½ teaspoons Sweet Paprika, ground

  • 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon, ground

  • 1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder

  • ½ teaspoon of Pepper, ground

  • ½ teaspoon of Allspice, ground

  • ½ teaspoon of Ginger Powder

  • ½ teaspoon of Turmeric, ground

  • ¼ teaspoon of Cayenne, ground

Mix the above and seal in an airtight container. Feel free to mix up the blend to your tastes and preferences.
